Welcome to the Yuma County Public Defender website. We hope that you find it helpful and informative. Our offices are located inside the Yuma County Historic Courthouse, which is adjacent to the Yuma County Justice Center located at 250 W. 2nd Street in Yuma. Visitors must access the Historic Courthouse through the Justice Center and walk through security. After being checked through security, visitors can see directions to our offices, or request information from the Information desk.
The Office of the Yuma County Public Defender protects the constitutional rights and liberties of all persons whose causes have been entrusted to us, by providing superior legal, ethical, and timely representation. Our mission includes a genuine commitment to your defense. We will confer with you throughout the representation. Through mutual collaboration, we will work together toward the best possible resolution of your case. Our defense attorneys will thoroughly investigate the facts and evidence in the case, while guarding the confidences of the client. The attorneys are aided by a responsive and energetic support staff dedicated to achieving a common goal—upholding and protecting constitutional rights of indigent persons charged with crimes.
