Citizen Complaints Inspectors investigate complaints relating to permitted facilities and to public nuisances that are dangerous to public health. Complaints in reference to sewage, wastewater or zoning issues are need to contact the Department of Development Services Environmental Programs at (928) 817-5000.

Permit Fees
Inspectors perform routine inspections of permitted facilities for compliance with applicable codes. Facilities include bakeries, bars, caterers, child care facilities, food distributors, food processors, food retail stores, hotels, motels, meat markets, restaurants, public and semi-public swimming pools, trailer parks, and school facilities and cafeterias.
Foodborne Illness Investigations Inspectors gather data and investigate circumstances that may have resulted in a foodborne outbreak.

Administration staff conducts the Food Handler Certificate Program. Individuals who handle, prepare, serve, sell, give away food, or handle food preparation utensils and equipment are required to pass a 25 question true/false test.

Vector (Mosquito) Control

Mosquito Control & Prevention  

West Nile Virus Q & A
Vector Control technicians perform trapping and identification of mosquitoes from breeding sites throughout the County. They treat or modify the site in order to control any further breeding. They perform routine spraying of areas previously identified as being infested and of other areas as requested by citizens.
